London Limbers Up!

MARK THE WEEKEND of 31 March / 1 April in your digital calendar – that’s when the 2012 London International Dive Show (LIDS 2012) opens its doors.

TV diving celebrities Monty Halls and Paul Rose will be joined by ace underwater photographer Alex Mustard, shark freediver Fred Buyle, and a host of other personalities yet to be named at LIDS, the first of 2012’s two UK Dive Shows.

The London International Dive Show has been a firm pre-season fixture for divers for many years, and has found the ideal home at the popular ExCeL Centre, with its spacious halls and up-to-date facilities.

At LIDS divers enjoy the chance to mingle with fellow-divers from around the world, including the biggest names in the sport.

And in a harsh economic climate, the Show provides the perfect chance to compare, try and buy diving equipment at competitive prices, and to weigh in the balance holidays, courses and everything else to do with diving. The diving must go on!

With the Far East on ever more travelling divers’ wish-lists, an expanded Asia-Pacific Showcase area will feature at LIDS. It’s just one of the “regional zones” at the Show, alongside others such as the Caribbean Village, Red Sea Zone and British Isles Experience.

Also reflecting ever-growing enthusiasm among divers will be an expanded PhotoZone. Here luminaries such as Alex Mustard and Saeed Rashid will give underwater photography presentations, experts will offer one-to-one advice, and cameras, housings and accessories will be sold.
