Thinking of exhibiting?

Booking a stand at LIDS 2009 comes with some concrete guarantees. Being a dedicated Show, there's no wastage, because everyone attending wants to know about diving, first and foremost. Whether expert, enthusiast or beginner – they all want to be there. That's why we attracted more than 14,000 divers to the Show last year!

Over 70% of stand space is already booked for LIDS 2009, which takes place at ExCeL over the weekend of 28/29 March, and more than 250 companies are expected to take part. The list of exhibitors is growing daily, ensuring that LIDS 2009 will be another outstanding event.

Once again, top diving experts from around the world will be giving free presentations to hundreds of seasoned and wannabe divers. The Try Dive Pool and Technical Pool will also be major features of the show, there will be a display of new dive gear for 2009, and the Historical Diving Society will be staging a fascinating display of diving artefacts and memorabilia.

Getting better all the time

Reassuringly long established, the success of the London Dive Show is thanks to its continued evolution. At LIDS 2009 we will be focusing on attracting newcomers as well as satisfying the thirst for information of our seasoned divers, so when you book a stand at LIDS 2009 you can be sure that you're signing up to a Show that's constantly evolving!

Who should exhibit?

A stand at LIDS 2009 is a must for any company targeting divers but, with over 70% of the audience also being ABC1 and under 45 years of age, the Show provides an excellent opportunity for organisations to meet large numbers of young, active and affluent people. For the most part though you'll be rubbing shoulders with the likes of:

  • Manufacturers, distributors and retailers of diving equipment
  • Tourist boards and dive travel agents
  • Dive centres and dive-boat operators
  • Diver training agencies
  • Underwater photography equipment suppliers
  • Boat and chandlery suppliers
  • Diving leisurewear suppliers
  • Publishers

Attracting the right visitors

The London International Dive Show goes all out to attract the keenest divers around – whatever agency they may have trained with. Naturally, the British Sub-Aqua Club’s support for LIDS means that BSAC divers and branch groups drawn from its 38,000 membership will attend. And, with the inclusion of the PADI Village, we ensure that the Show has the broadest possible appeal.

Our commitment

Attracting 13,611 divers in just two days to LIDS 2008 could be considered quite an achievement in itself. But for LIDS 2009 we're planning to do even better! Here are some of the highlights of our £250,000 promotional campaign:

  • A nationwide ticket offer with National Rail
  • A promotional campaign with Docklands Light Railway
  • Advertising in all the major UK diving magazines
  • Regular email bulletins to thousands of Londoners via the ExCeL network
  • Continual information streaming by email and post from BSAC to its vast membership network
  • Full support of the PADI network
  • Full support of the Diver Group, which includes Diver Magazine, Divernet, Diver Travel Guide and Dyk Magazine
  • LIDS 2009 newsletter mailed direct to more than 8000 past visitors
  • An extensive PR campaign targeting national, regional and local media
