In the main hall, expect as many as 250 stands reflecting everything from equipment and travel to training, clothing and many diver services.
Photo displays include the cream of the Sharks In Focus competition, organised by the Shark Trust and Diver, as well as the exciting work of Alex Mustard.
You’ll see innovations in dive gear in the New Products Display, and can sample rebreather diving in the BSAC World section (LIDS is organised by Diver in association with the British Sub Aqua Club).
As ever there is also a chance for non-divers and children to get wet, in the Try-Dive Pool.
The story of sponge-diving and the hardhat heroes who became involved in this pursuit is the theme of the Historic Diving Society’s exhibit at LIDS.
The PADI Village will be packed with training and holiday exhibits, the Caribbean Village as tempting and laid-back as ever – and don’t miss the new British Isles Experience, stands dedicated to providers of diving experiences on home shores.
